ABOUT
Hailing all the far way from Newtown, Connecticut, New York City-based queer comedian Claire Alexander began stand-up comedy at age 17 for a high school assignment. She now can be seen performing regularly at both comedy clubs QED and The Tiny Cupboard Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan, at her weekly comedy show “Drule” at Fette Sau in Williamsburg, as well as other clubs and independent shows all over the city.
In 2024, Claire created and became editor in chief of Women's Sports Satire News Publication, Lady Balls News, which you can find here.
Claire's writing can be found in the popular queer publication, GoMagazine.
In 2024, Claire was hired to write for the satirical news website The Hard Times.
Claire's satire can also be found on Boosh News and Humor Darling.
Claire was also hired as a staff writer for The Dump, a late-night talk show podcast.
In 2023, Claire was hired as a headline contributor for Reductress, a popular satirical news website for women.
In 2022 and 2023, Claire mentored EPIC, a theatre program designed exclusively to give performance opportunities to neurodivergent artists where she teaches stand-up comedy.
Claire currently produces “Drule” a comedy show featuring all women and queer people with co-producer Olivia Amerling at Fette Sau Barbecue in Brooklyn. Drule was featured in the New York Comedy Festival in 2021. Tickets available here
