It’s so over (for a month!)

Hi y’all-

Well the summer is coming to a close (no its not, we have the hottest month of the year left) but Drule will be taking a sweet, sweet month-long hiatus. I know you’ll miss it, I know you’ll miss me but distance makes the heart grow fonder. Go watch other comedy shows, realize you prefer mostly women lineups, go on vacation to distract yourself from how much you miss us, then write a heartfelt letter begging us to come back because you were dreaming of Drule at Fette Sau the whole time.

I truly do love how empty NYC is in the summer, every bar is only filled with all the other people who work at restaurants, and every street is filled with families having one million beers at their daughter’s birthday party.

I do hate how everything is still so expensive though. What is that for? You know I’m eating my meals in NYC because I can’t afford to have a summer home in maine right now, so please, please burger places everywhere, I beg you to not charge for fries. And I think I’m going to start haggling at the soho Aritzia. Who else is buying your clothes here girl? This store is empty!

I haven’t really been dong many summer activities, like I feel like I never go to the beach, would love to! But its just so far- and I never read, would love to! But TikTok is better. When I was growing up my mom made me read like 20-30 books every summer, and maybe I’m just traumatized by the concept of summer reading. I was forced to expand my mind! That’s also probably why I have depression and aniety. Too much intellegence at such a young age makes a child wonder. What a shame.

So anyway, while I spend the rest of this summer not reading, not saving money, not going to the beach, and not hosting your favorite comedy show, Drule, I actually have another iron in the fire to share with you.

Starting tomorrow along with the Olympics, I will be launching my own satire platform based on news about women’s sports called LadyBalls. So PLEASE come to the show tonight, you’re the only hope, as it is the last hot one for a monthy poo! And the lineup is amazing, we’re going to have a great time, we (might) get hammered (idk, I literally have a tummy ache rn, so that’s tbd) but we’re going to have a lovely time.
